Description
The BodyTrain Racer exercise bike brings the gym to your home with a range of fantastic features. The 18kg flywheel is belt driven for a smoother & quieter ride than chain driven bikes. The tension control is manually adjusted using the control knob on the crossbar. This knob also acts as the break when pushed downwards.
The computer has a large screen and is situated between the handlebars for easy reading during workout. The computer also has a simple, quick select one button adjustment feature to allow for quick adjustments during your workout. The handlebars also have pulse sensors fitted so you can keep track of your pulse rate during your workout.
The bike’s saddle and handle-bars are adjustable. Placing them in the correct position for your body will prevent straining and allow you to get the most from your work-out.
The rear of the bike features a suspension system which will ease the transition from standing to sitting position and the saddle fully adjustable able to be moved forward and backwards as well as up and down, to allow perfect positioning.
The pedals feature straps and toe clips making it easier to build up speed using the ball of your foot, preventing calf and ankle straining.

Operation is VERY quiet. I was pleasantly surprised.
The 18kg wheel means even though it is friction rather than magnetic braked it has plenty of momentum and is very smooth in use. Tension adjustment works well too.
Good padded saddle. I may change mine as a personal choice but it’s a regular bike saddle so easily sourced.
Taller users may find the highest seat setting doesn’t allow for full leg extension when pedalling – about 90cm from the seat to bottom of pedal stroke. It’s subjective though – personally I don’t like leaning over to use the handlebars so I sit upright but most cyclists will use them.
The electronic unit has the usual speed, distance since reset, pulse via handlebar sensors, time and calories plus a persistent odometer, how far you’ve ridden since new. Batteries (2xAA) supplied!
Assembly was easy even as a one-person job (the instructions say two person). Tools supplied – two spanners and a hex key with screwdriver end.
All in all not simply good for the price (especially with free shipping of a 25kg box) but good overall.
Now one negative point, sorry seller but it has to be said. The bike I received was in my opinion a faulty customer return reshipped without proper inspection. The banding was cut and taped over, one nut was unusable and needed replacing and there is severe (but hidden) scratching on the underside where I guess the previous owner tried to assemble it. However easily fixed and I got the product I wanted and the quality I hoped for so I’m happy.
